We disappear into the woods late at night.  3AM and her face is covered in corpse I paint.  We find the perfect location after only a short walk in where the thin tree’s are covered by thorns, and spaced far enough apart to get the photos we are looking for.

I’ve wanted to do this shoot for a long time.  I sit in my office for hours on end editing photos, and listening to black metal thinking up ideas until the sun comes up.  Constantly pushing this series back in favor of other work that is easier to do at the moment, but now I think its almost time to start working on Of Darkness…more to come in 2013

Let me just say that going to Crazy Horse in Paris was one of the highlights of my trip. That show is so creative, sexy, and inspirational. I hope I get to go again and again.

Corwin Prescott documented the moment for me, because he’s a trouper!

Snap shots from Paris.  Porcelain, one of the loveliest burlesque performers I know, really wanted a topless shot in front of Crazy Horse after the show.  We got her the whole mountie.

I think it was the first time he’d ever been asked to pose with a topless girl in front of the theater.  He seemed delighted.
